Hands

Little creatures,
Helpless newborns,
Sent to struggle in a world
Of cruelty and crime:

From the clear glass window
I noticed their smiles;
They way they moved

Those hands
Too delicate
To touch the dark sides of the earth

The purest
Most angelic creation
Of the Mighty Lord

How will those hands
Color the world
Of tomorrow?

Will those
Bring comfort to others
Wipe tears away
Enlighten the blues
And warm the wintry days?

Or will they
Contrast the earth
With darkness
And fill us
With air of sorrow?

On this very sheet of paper
I mark all my hopes and dreams
To let all the world know
My message for the coming generation:

Be thankful
For He has given you
A gift that enables
To do anything you want
Be whatever you want to be

Hold fast to your dreams, my friends
The future of the world is in your hands.

Not Very Amused

Swaying on the cliff of turmoil
An echoing voice threatening those innocent
Rage surrounds westerners like a cloud of soot
Bitter blackberries swirl in an unorganized whirl pool
Hammering upon the group with eyes of ruby blood;
Congregating together foreigners contemplate their next move
After all this is our home too
A needle pricks fears balloon
Regardless the consequence our nails are bolted; not to remove
Indeed we are not very amused.
