Reaction to the attack

Gokce, Adana, Turkey

Hi, The attack was so horrible. And watching it live on TV was more and more horrible than just learning about it.

Our world has fought for years and years to make the world a peaceful place, but no way. We, as teenagers, thought that this brand new century will be the century of peace, but they did not let this happen.

I am from Turkey and we lived terrorism for lots of years. I know how it feels when your father or when your family member dies on those mountains in the East Turkey. So bad, so cruel...

And I think we, as teenagers, will be the future. We will decide to make peace or war. We have to make a choice and we have to come together for this idea. Some adults don't think about the future. But we are the future. I would like to tell that the attack did not affect me physically, but it did in every other way. And I wanted so much to share my feelings with the others. I don't want terrorism because you cannot make the others believe what you say, with cruelty. Also, I don't want war, because I don't want the innocent to die. But fighting against terrorism is very right. This is so confusing. Lastly, I want to tell how I'm sorry about the ones whose family members died in the attack. And again, teenagers are the key to the future. Thank you.

I lived in America for five years, and in all those five years i went to New York City about twice. I've never been up the Twin Towers, and i'll never get to either now. I promised myself that i would one day, and I'd take a camera and take a few shots of the city, because it's an amazing view from the top. Or was an amazing view. There is no view anymore. And if there will be again one day, it'll be real sad to stand up there on the new twin towers, looking down on a city changed forever. Real sad.

I am truly saddened by the awful attack on America. I feel sad, angry and totally helpless because of this. I will pray for all the victims and their families. I want to thank all the people who have been working since September 11 rescuing people also.

God Bless Everyone!

I feel really bad about what happened and for the families that lost their family members and friends. I think we should not feed Afghanistan until they put Osama bin Ladan out where we can see him and put a bullet right in his head. After we kill him we can start feeding the Afghanistan people again.

Before the tradgy our 8th grade class was going to go to Washington. Now the teacher has a lot more to think about before taking us.

Charles, San Antonio, TX

As I watch and listen to the Islamic leaders (Bin Laden et al) talk about the glory of dying for Allah in attacks on the "infidels," I wonder why there are so many old Islamic leaders. If dying the Islam is such a wonderful and glorius event, one would think such terroist organization as Al-Queda would only have teenagers for leaders.
