As Mourning Breaks

Something so insane as this,
Could take away thousands' bliss.
Such perils and strifes,
They caused with their knives.

Deeds upon Men,
Separating us again.
Yet in some great way,
We are more united this day.

We witnessed the worst of Men,
Conquer the best of Men.
But we fight on,
Against all foes we bond.

Some grand Amen is sung,
As the great statues fall.
Symbols of Man's dreams so tall.
No, no, evil has not won.

It cannot win,
It will not win.
From every mountain shout it,
Will we give up, I doubt it!

And though the statues fell,
Our statutes ring a bell.
Calling all to command,
Together we will band,

Against all foes,
Against all woes.
The fallen to lift,
Through rubble to sift.

Again to build,
And plow the field.
As one people we will go.
To press on; to vanquish the foe!

Brian, Dover, NH
Prayers for the victims families
We all come together to unit
We will fight back
We will build new world trade center towers much smaller and safer and stronger to with stand an air plane crashing into to it.
Also I believe that the new world trade centers will be renamed, which it should.
New York will make a come back soon.

I am the only 7th grader on the school newspaper in our school and I have noticed lots of changes in some students, trouble makers not acting up as much; school spirit is up and so is patriotism.

Well, Sept. 11 was our fall pep rally. We had to go inside and listen to the radio we all thought it was some small middle east country being bombed but it was the U.S.

I said something that day i will remember forever I made a speech and was praying and witnessing to Christ to my friends one thing I said that day was about WAR.

I said: "As we come inside from thinking about war on other teams on the sports we are inside thinking about war with other conutries on the battlefield." As I watch the news (something I rarely did before) I hang on every word said and think about my feelings and my thoughts.

There is so much history around us. Our kids and grandkids will hear about this and we can tell them all about it our thoughts, our words, just like our parents and grandparents tell us now!

To all Americans, I am only 14 yrs old and I send out my deepest sympathies to all whom have died, been injured and to those who have lost a love one! Hopefully there will be no war, war only wins one thing......... Death!

I believe those who attacked you are nothing but cowards and bullies. By using the word "Bully," I mean someone who thinks they have power over you!

But no matter how much they destroy, blow up and how many people they hurt, they will never destroy your American spirit and I admire that, a lot.

Hopefully when my generation is in government, there will be no such thing as war, hate and anger. One thing that really bothers me though is the fact that you adults should take your oppurtunity and rule the world with peace but instead war has happened, I guess it's time you adults actually stop being stubborn and listen to the quote from John Lennon "give peace a chance!"

In that I'll leave you with my sympathies, my high respect and my belief that you will recover from this terrible tragedy and that "What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger." Please hang on to your American spirit!
