It is etched in my memory
like something I cannot forget.
Something I will never forget.
I felt a huge loss when
I saw the towers collapse
in clouds of fire & smoke.
I wanted to reach out
and stop it from happening,
Rewind the tape.
Change the ending.
Thousands gone,
disappearing in seconds.
Thousand mourning,
searching, hoping...for one last chance
to say I love you.
To say goodbye.
Millions in shock,
not believing
what their eyes were seeing.
Millions of lives changed,
as the world watched in horror.
Merciless acts of hatred,
committed by faceless cowards.
And our hearts ache
forevermore...
as we pick up the pieces,
fly our flags,
and give our blood,
the world uniting
to fight the war
that will insure that such atrocities
will never, ever
happen again.

I think this is so terrible. People dying so young and innocent, some newlyweds, some just had kids and thought their life was just begining to get better and more alive, when really they are now gone forever. Leaving kids behind, not understanding where their mom or dad went and why they never came home to tuck them in bed. It makes me so sad to even imagine my mom or dad going to work one day and never seeing them again. I think whoever did this needs to pay, I dont understand how they could be so cold hearted. I never will.

What if bin Laden had been using his wealth to help his people! I keep wondering if the poverty of the people of Afghanistan would have been solved if bin Laden had been using his wealth for the good of the people instead of using it in terrorist activity. Would the poor Afgans turn against him if they realized he has squandered his money on hatred when he could have loved his people and helped them?
