Historic Changes in Egypt: Lessons in Democracy, Culture, Technology

As PBS NewsHour continues to cover the latest events in Egypt, we partnered with Independent Television Service (ITVS) to pull together unique perspectives on the situation for a live online discussion Tuesday, February 15 at 2 PM ET (11 AM PT).

Moderated by PBS NewsHour Correspondent Hari Sreenivasan, the discussion will add context and background for educators and students. The discussion will provide voices from the region, media resources and lesson plans for the classroom.

Find out about PBS NewsHour Extra’s Student Voice reports, featuring first hand accounts from a teenage journalist living in Alexandria, Egypt. Watch excerpts from the ITVS documentary Shayfeen.com which explores the last round of elections in Egypt and the power of digital media.
