Promises weave webs of distrust
promises burrowing beneath earth's soil
promises howling wolves in dark nights
promises attacking hearts with gentle minds
promises created by mouths of fire
promises torment those at rest
promises burning the eyes of the believers
promises hang from trees of deception
promises creep in the corners of darkness
promises better left unsaid.
