I take to notice a girl
in the corner of my eyes,
She sits there smiling at nothing.
People who talk to her come and go,
She just sits there eating alone.
She wears what she wants,
My friends laugh at her.
She is different but kind,
Everyone that knows her respects her.
She doesn't care about the latest styles,
She doesn't care what people think.
She does what she wants,
She flares with inner beauty.
She just sits there laughing
and pointing this way.
She laughs at me,
Me standing here acting like someone I'm not.
Me, dressed like everyone else,
Me, doing what they want.
My strings are just being pulled,
Me being a puppet of society.
She is who I wish I could
be,
She is the inner me.
