Wish

Don't you just wish we could lay here forever?
Don't you just wish that out troubles were never?
Wouldn't it be grand to be just like the trees,
To fly like a bird to sway like the leaves,
To hope for the future,
have the faith to believe,
To not be afraid to live out your dreams.
It would be great to be just like a bird,
To sail over high, to speak and be heard.
Maybe we should stop more often,
just stop to look and see
Just to smell the roses, or take in the scenery,
But life's not like that, we can't even slow,
It's like it never stops, we're always on the go
But we're told to move faster to pick up the pace,
It's like our whole lives are just one massive race-
And times have changed, so fast, so much-
Do we have time for family when we're in such a rush?
I don't understand life, coz to me it just seems
That this race is less important, than all our hopes and dreams
Don't you just wish we could lay here forever?
Don't you just wish that our troubles were never?
