What are greenhouse gases?

Heat-trapping gases in the Earth's atmosphere.
Most occur naturally, but they are also emitted by burning fossil fuels (fuel taken from underground), cutting forests and during some industrial and agricultural activities. The most common greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide.
