For the past two days I was in the largest safari of my life. To some people it may have seemed small, but to me it was WOW! We drove three hours north of Durban to get there. On the first day we saw some of the most beautiful animals on Mother Earth. It was not the same as watching them on TV. In South Africa, five animals are
known as the "big five". They are the elephant, rhino, buffalo,
leopard, and the king of We spent the night in the middle of the safari, at a camp called Hilltop, in little houses. That was cool. Then the next morning we got an early start, and we saw an elephant first thing. The van was only about ten feet away from it. We spent the rest of the day looking for the remaining two members of the "big five", the leopard and the lion, but they were nowhere to be found. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had, and I loved it. |
