Traveling to Durban 9:25 (NYC time), Airplane turbulence. I am on an airplane now. It is 9:25 p.m. Oh my gosh! Here we come, South Africa. Janet Jackson is piercing the air with her music. I'm entertained. However, until we are out of this airplane, I will be worried. This is so scary. It feels like the airplane is hitting rocks. My oh my. I have prayed so many times. "I wanna be sedated." I read about this song sung by the Ramones in AIRSCAPE (a booklet of all the entertainment available on the airplane.) I WANNA BE SEDATED. This trip is too SCARY I tell you. 7:04 am (NYC time), Airplane: I slept very well. I can't believe it but I did. I woke up in the middle of the "night" because I was having panic attacks. I felt so hot. People have been telling me to calm down and relax. I don't trust technology. Even though I am more likely to be in a car accident than in an airplane crash, I could survive in a car but not in an airplane. I can't believe they gave us instructions on how to save ourselves if we are in an airplane. Seriously. We are 37,000 feet above the ground. If we fall we'd be falling at a high speed. We won't survive. I'm not being a pessimist. I'm just scared. Turbulence. We are close to landing (hurry, hurry) Durban: We are staying at a bed and breakfast. The place is beautiful. I got to pick the bed (it's blue). The hosts, Vanessa and Dave, are so nice. I called my mommy and daddy at both 8:30 p.m. (South African time) and 2:30 (NYC time). |
