individual house or hall masters meetings every Wednesday morning. Every student must attend these meetings.

Generally, only students in secondary school live as boarders at the school. Primary students may walk or ride bicycles to school. But in cities and busy towns such at Accra and Kumasi, students normally go to school by taxi.

Teenagers in Ghana wear school uniforms. The purpose is to differentiate one school from another and to identify students who might be loitering in town without permission.

Some schools are so strict that they don't allow students to wear anything except school uniforms.

The standard number of students per class is 45. However, due to the limited number of schools you could have 63 students per class. There is usually keen competition for these spots. Students who perform poorly are laid off (dropped). Teenagers in Ghana are
