I am a 19-year-old female living in Khubetsane with my older sister. My home is located high in the mountains near Mokhotlong. Our village is small: There are only 11 homes here.
My mother used to be a school teacher, but is retired. My father is a subsistence farmer, which means he grows enough for us to eat. My brother also attends school at Bishop Allard. My parents struggle, but manage to pay my school fees. I used to attend an all English-speaking school, Maseru High School, but I couldn't graduate because I failed English. Now I am a Domestic Science student and enjoy school very much.
I am hoping to go back to high school and get my COSC in English so that I can go to NTTC (National Teacher Training College) and become a geography and development studies teacher. I love everything about geography.
Because we are very poor, I do not get a chance to travel. But I want to travel someday and see the rest of the world.
