Student Interviews Economist and Local Businesses about Recession

Hannah
Hannah, of Littleton High School in Colorado, interviewed community members and an economist about the nation's economic problems.
Why this student reported on this issue:
The U.S. economy is experiencing the most dramatic recession since the Great Depression.

In light of the recession, I went out into my community to talk to local businesses and an economist about our economic problems. I spoke to a small business owner, a movie theater manager and an economist from New York. I learned that a lot of businesses are hurting because of the economic slump, but since people are under a lot of stress they are actually going to more movies to get away from reality.

Hannah is a student at Littleton High School in Littleton, Colorado.
