Video Your Vote: Students Reflect on the Election and Voting

Sen. McCain and Sen. Obama
Video Your Vote is a joint project between the NewsHour and YouTube to document the experiences of voters across the country and collect voter opinions on the 2008 election.
 
 
 

Jasmine, from Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Florida, reports on her first voting experience, the wait and her advice to other voters.




Amber, from Williamston High School in Williamston, North Carolina, talks about casting her first vote and how it makes her feel.




Patricia, from Peekskill High School in Peekskill, New York, is voting for the first time and says she isn't sure what to expect.




Jack Lund, from Salt Lake City, Utah, recorded his experience voting for the first time. He filled out a provisional ballot because he was 17 at the time, but he will be 18 by Nov. 4.




Dan, from Cheverus High School in Portland, Maine, talks about his frustrations with both presidential candidates.




Arman Pittman, from West Craven High School in Vanceboro, North Carolina, voted early in the election. He talks about the experience and how he prepared to vote.




Students at North Schuylkill High School in Ashland, Pennsylvania, found a creative way to encourage others to vote.




Margie, a student at Cesar Chavez Academy High School in south-west Detroit, talks about why she changed her mind and decided to vote in the presidential election.
