Video Your Vote: Students Reflect on the Election and Voting

Voters
Video Your Vote is a joint project between the NewsHour and YouTube to document the experiences of voters across the country and collect voter opinions on the 2008 election.
 
 
 

Sammie, a student at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in New York City, registered with Rock the Vote, but when she arrived at the polling station found that she was not officially registered and had to cast a provisional ballot.




Students from City Honors High School in Buffalo, New York, interviewed Election Comissioner Ralph Mohr about involving young people in voting.





Students from Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Florida, report from outside the polls in the Seminole Heights area of the city.




Students from Thomas Fitz-simon High School in Philadelphia interviewed teachers about their voting experiences and complications with voting or registering.




In California, students from Oakland High School caught campaign supporters approaching voters as they entered polling stations.



Student reporters from Valley High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, talk to voters and poll workers at the polls.




Charles and Nathalie, from Annandale High School in Virginia interviewed a new voter in Springfield.
