Eighteen-year-old Egyptian student and photographer Yasser Alaa has been documenting his country’s revolution from behind the lens of a camera, most recently attending protests that sprang up after the country’s longtime dictator, Hosni Mubarak, stepped down. He also talked to several young people about what they think has changed in Egypt since Mubarak’s rule ended.
Why this Student Spoke Out
Massive political change has swept through Egypt since January, when protesters rose up against their longtime dictator, Hosni Mubarak.

"No real change has happened yet, but it will appear when Egypt gets a good president." Mohamed, 21, pharmacy student

"Citizens have changed a lot for the better, but it's still too early to judge about the impact of the revolution."Abdel, 23, engineer

"Citizens started to have more positive dreams and goals and they started to have strong hope in the future." – Amir, 23, trade student

We should wait for the change, we are the ones who started the revolution and we are the ones who should bring the change. Only nine months have passed since the start of revolution and we still have some time to see the difference because we are not the in era of miracles where you start a revolution today and enjoy a different life tomorrow. We still have a lot of challenges to face. – Basma, 18, high school student
