This 10 minute journalist interview and narrated slide show of Captain Dan Kearney’s unit in a remote and dangerous Afghan valleyvideoplayer.jpg
illustrates in very personal terms the dilemmas and dangers facing the US military on ground patrol.

The story of Kearney’s “Battle Company” provides a rare glimpse into the everyday life-or-death challenges facing these courageous troops. The video can be a springboard to launch a class discussion on the complexity of the Afghanistan situation. What would you do if you were Captain Kearney?
