The newest attraction in downtown Washington D.C.is the 450 million dollar 7 story 250,00 square foot Newseum, dedicated to Photo courtesy of the Newseum the evolving and proud profession of news gathering. Normal admission is $20 but there are special rates for school groups, and free admission for many local schools during the first year of operation. The Newseum is chock full of interactive and thematic exhibits, and inexhaustible amounts of video and audio. An expanded and upgraded interactive exhibit from the original Newseum allows you to record your own TV news report and post the video clip online to Facebook, for example. The Newseum also offers free online features and resources of interest to educators:
