House's behind-the-scenes moments, enjoying extraordinary access to
the nation's chief executives and documenting administrations from Jimmy
Carter to Bill Clinton.
In her new book, Public and Private: Twenty Years Photographing the
Presidency, Walker shares her unique experiences behind the camera,
offering a rare glimpse into what private life is like inside the White
House.
In 1990, Walker received a first prize award from World Press Photo
for her photograph of George Bush with U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia.
Her photographs appear in the National Portrait Gallery, the Art Institute
of Chicago, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and the Minneapolis
