John Graham: OSCE, Senior Election Advisor, Bosnia

John Graham is a former Canadian Ambassador and the first head for the Unit of Promotion of Democracy for the Organization of American States (OAS). An expert in elections in the developing world, Mr. Graham has observed and/or supported electoral preparations in Venezuela, Guyana, the Dominican Republic and Fiji. He was part of the OAS election mediation team in Guatemala in 1993 and was mediator of the post election crisis in the Dominican Republic in 1994.

More recently he was the Senior Advisor for the International Foundation for Electoral Systems based in Washington, D.C. With the Foundation he was actively involved in preparations for the last elections in Haiti. For the past six months he has served as Senior Election Advisor for the OSCE in Bihac, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
