New Report Supports Helping Families Take Care of AIDS Orphans


Child orphaned by AIDSChris Desmond, a research associate at the Harvard School of Public Health, took part in a two year project called the Joint Learning Initiative on Children and AIDS. In an interview with the Online NewsHour, Desmond describes what his research has shown about AIDS orphans in South Africa, and discusses the JLICA's finding that the best way to protect these children is to strengthen family structures.
