More than 1.6 million Americans live in nursing homes today, a number

that is expected to rise as our population ages. Many
Americans, however, have negative impressions of
nursing homes. In fact, 45 percent think people are

worse off after going into nursing homes than before they entered. Susan Dentzer reports on one man's effort to change that impression.
