Survey of Experiences with Nursing Homes

A national survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation, the Harvard School of Public Health, and the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer found that most people who have had personal experiences with nursing homes — either themselves or a family member — had positive impressions of the care given.

However, a significant minority had negative experiences, including abuse or overmedication.
