NASA Launches Orbiting Carbon Observatory FLASH VERSION
NASA is set to launch its Orbiting Carbon Observatory satellite on Feb. 23. Atmospheric scientists and climatologists are expecting the satellite's measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide to dramatically improve their knowledge of the earth's natural carbon cycle.

The "A-Train", The Orbiting Carbon Observatory will join a formation of five earth-observing satellites that measure other atmospheric gases, cloud distribution and oceanic life. The group of satellites is nicknamed the "A-Train."
