| A New Plant |
 |
| The plant provides 70 million gallons of water per day, enough for half a million people. Before it arrives at the plant, the wastewater is treated by the Orange County Sanitation District. In most areas, that treated water would be discharged into a river or ocean -- but in Orange County some of its now piped to the new plant. |
