Obama Reflects on Successes, Pitfalls of First 100 Days
In a wide-ranging press conference marking his 100th day in office, President Barack Obama sought to reassure Americans on the threat of swine flu and address questions on interrogation policy, the economy and the future of the auto industry.

The president called for a "new foundation" for the nation's struggling economy in his remarks. "Even as we clear away the wreckage of this recession, I have also said that we cannot go back to an economy that is built on a pile of sand," he said.

Earlier Wednesday, the president held a town hall in St. Louis, where he said he was "pleased with the progress we've made, but I'm not satisfied."
