The consulate in Benghazi was more than 300 yards long and nearly 100 yards wide, according to Charlene Lamb, deputy assistant secretary of state for international programs, who is in charge of security at more than 275 diplomatic facilities.


Terrorists burned down the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, killing four Americans, on Sept. 11, 2012. These new photos were released at a House hearing on the failed security there.
