Proctor Lake, Central TX
Proctor Lake in central Texas just southwest of Dallas was originally built by the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1963 as a flood control. It also provides drinking water. The shrinking shoreline of the lake has also shrunk the feeder streams, the Sabana and Leon Rivers. The 2011 image even shows where vegetation has sprung up along the lake bed.
