Archipelago Cinema
On the island of Yao Noi in Thailand, this float-in cinema was built based on the techniques used by fishermen to construct floating lobster farms. The raft is built out of recycled materials as a series of individual modules to allow for flexibility for its future use. This floating auditorium premiered at the inaugural Film on the Rocks Yao Noi Festival. The structure is now traveling through Southeast Asia for other film screenings on water before it returns to Thailand to remain as a stage in the ocean.
