Mount Sharp Rising

Mount Sharp rises about 3.4 miles above the floor of Gale Crater. Curiosity will drive to the mountain and then clamber a few hundred meters in elevation up.

Curiosity is represented by the green dot, its landing range is outlined in blue, and it is seen here cradled by the Gale Crater, its new home.
