The Museum of the City of New York recently hosted an exhibit called “Making Room: New Models for Housing New Yorkers.” The exhibit presented the winning designs a 2011 competition sponsored by the Citizens Housing & Planning Council and the Architectural League of New York and from New York City Mayor Bloomberg’s competition for new, smaller, housing models. As pictured, the display included a complete “full-sized, flexibly furnished micro-studio apartment of just 325 square feet.”
