Tucson Regional Ballet

Tucson Regional Ballet puts a decidedly local spin on their appropriately named production of A Southwest Nutcracker. Set in Tucson in the 1880s, a Zorro-like character names Tio Diego stands in for Uncle Drosselmeyer, and Maria's beloved Nutcracker leads U.S. Cavalry soldiers in the battle against coyotes, not the classic mice.
