Tucson Regional Ballet

"Instead of a Candy Land, our heroine Maria travels with her Nutcracker General over Mt. Lemmon -- [a] mountain in Tucson that has so much snow we even have a ski lift -- to the Desert Dream," said Linda Walker, executive director of the Tucson Regional Ballet. In the second act "fiesta," chili peppers, rattlesnakes and desert poppies dance for Maria. Here, a Native American Queen dances to the classic Arabian variation music.
