Pacific Northwest Ballet

When creating Pacific Northwest Ballet's Nutcracker more than two decades ago, Kent Stowell collaborated with renowned author and illustrator Maurice Sendak ("Where the Wild Things Are") on the story, set design, and costumes. "I've seen this production a few times, probably more than any of [the audience has]," said current Artistic Director Peter Boal said in last year's program, "And still in the Stahlbaum's parlor, I keep discovering new treasures painted into the wall paper and pedestals."
