As attendees of the 'Roving Kabaret' clapped and cheered, protestors unfurled a large banner to mark their occupation of the Franklin School. Wearing red bandannas to mask their identities, they briefly occupied the building to protest it sitting unused until police arrested them later that day.

A statement on the Occupy DC site reads, "While [the] event at Franklin School was not approved by the Occupy DC General Assembly in McPherson Square, our peaceful movement remains committed to fighting the 99%."
