Tsunami Dock Carries Invaders to Oregon

State parks staff noticed a plaque on the pier with Japanese writing and a year. With the help of the Japanese consulate, and correspondence with manufacturers, they traced its origin back to the Port of Misawa in the Tohoru region of Japan. The owners confirmed that the dock is one of four that was ripped loose during the tsunami.
