Tsunami Dock Carries Invaders to Oregon

Surprisingly. the greatest concern for the state authorities was not radiation. The pier was covered with invasive species of marine plants and animal life, like these mussels. Foreign wildlife can invade a local marine ecosystem and threaten native speceis. This dock contained at least three species that John Chapman of Oregon State University's Hatfield Marine Science Center calls the "100 worst list," for invasive species.
