Grover Cleveland

Cleveland was president during his 50th birthday on March 18, 1887. He had the opposite problem than the current administration -- the government was running a surplus -- so he worked to lower tariffs on foreign imports, despite opposition from those who thought it would harm American companies. He served a second non-consecutive term as president.
