Prisoner
Policy
Margaret Warner reports on Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's
recent trip to Europe, which was clouded by Euro-American disagreements
over the handling of terror suspects. Rice made several statements
on the matter throughout the week.
Then,
Warner discusses these statements with a reporter traveling with the secretary,
Glen Kessler of The Washington Post. She looks at the significance of the
statements and whether they represent a shift in U.S. policy with Andrew McCarthy,
a senior fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, and Tom Malinowski,
Washington director of Human Rights Watch.
Strong Words from Iran
Lindsey Hilsum of Independent Television News reports from Iran about some recent
controversial remarks by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinajad, and religion's
impact on politics there.
Shields
and Brooks Syndicated columnist Mark Shields and New York Times columnist
David Brooks discuss Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's trip to Europe and
her comments on the handling of terror suspects and the charges against Rep. Tom
