TERRORISM -- September 9, 2013 at 12:00 PM ET
Most Americans think future includes terrorism
A full 75 percent of Americans think that occasional acts of terrorism will be part of U.S. life in the future. That's what Pew uncovered in an April survey, right on the heels of the Boston Marathon bombing.
However, Americans' worries don't appear to include the near future. Just over a fifth of those surveyed said they were "very" worried that there will soon be another terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Pew writes that "Even in October 2001, a month after the 9/11 attacks, just 29 percent said they were very worried about the possibility of a new attack."
