Anne Frank’s Amsterdam yesterday and today in photos
A new digital scrapbook gives Anne Frank fans a chance to view her life from a variety of perspectives. Visual designer Michael Danckaarts has reimagined Frank’s life in photos that blend the Amsterdam of World War II with the Amsterdam of today. The photos are part of a mobile app called “Anne’s Amsterdam,” which is produced by the Anne Frank House. The app allows users to explore current day Amsterdam by pointing out 30 historically relevant locations throughout the city, providing additional photos, video, and personal stories to illustrate Anne’s life beyond the Anne Frank House. But you don’t have to go to Amsterdam to see the haunting photos, fans can view them on online.
