Artist collects 1.2 billion photos of faces from Facebook
Chances are, you’re one of the 1.2 billion people on Facebook. And if that’s the case, you can find your face included on the new site, “Faces of Facebook.”
According to Gizmodo, freelance designer Natalie Rojas created the project. At first glance, the site looks like a broken TV signal. But click once, and a grid of colors emerges followed by the faces of people you’ve most likely never seen before. Click again, and you’ll be brought to one of those people’s Facebook profiles. Yes, that includes you, Juan Jose Lopez Soto of Madrid, Spain. You too, Ysela Siegfried of Chulla Vista, Calif.
The faces appear as though they’ve been generated at random. But they’ve actually been placed in chronological order of people’s Facebook registration dates.
So, go ahead and see if you can spot your face.
