Israeli soldiers searching for three Israeli teenagers, who disappeared June 12 in the West Bank, found three bodies believed to be of the missing teens, a senior Israeli government official said Monday.

The bodies were found in the village of Halhul, near the location where the teens disappeared. They had been buried in a field.

“They know it’s the three, they will know for sure after they do the autopsy,” the unnamed official said.

The three teenagers: Eyal Yifrah, 19, Gilad Shaar, 16, and Naftali Fraenkel, a 16-year-old with dual Israeli-American citizenship, disappeared while hitchhiking home at night near the West Bank city of Hebron. Israeli authorities believe Hamas was behind the kidnapping.
