The National Transportation Safety Board on Tuesday “called on the 50 states and the District of Columbia to ban the nonemergency use of PEDs (portable electronic devices) (other than those designed to support the driving task) for all drivers.”

On the PBS NewsHour Tuesday, I talked with Deborah Hersman of the National Transportation Safety Board about the board’s recommendation.

Before the interview, I turned to Twitter, Facebook and Google+ for your thoughts, and to see what you wanted to know. Click through to see the recommendation from the NTSB, and what your fellow readers had to say.
