In Photos: China Trumps U.S. With World’s Longest Sea Bridge

At 26.4 miles, the newly opened Jiaozhou Bay Bridge in China entered the record books as the longest sea bridge in the world, taking the title from Louisiana’s Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, which spans 23.8 miles. China’s bridge connects the eastern port city of Qingdao to Huangdao Island, reportedly cutting in half the time it takes to traverse the two from 40 minutes to 20 minutes.
