Creedon: Just Before Quake, ‘Signs of Progress’ in Haiti

creedon.jpgFather Gerry Creedon, pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Arlington, Va., has been visiting Haiti for 19 years and left Port-au-Prince Tuesday morning — just hours before the massive quake struck there.

Creedon arrived in Haiti on Jan. 5, spent time in the capital then traveled to visit a sister parish and the Dominican Republic border. He said he saw signs of progress in Haiti — from political stability to less traffic congestion.
