Gunman injures two soldiers on U.S. Navy base

Earlier Thursday, a gunman opened fire at U.S. Navy’s Naval Support Activity Mid-South in Millington, near Memphis. Two soldiers were non-critically injured before the gunman was taken into custody.

The Associated Press reported that “a Navy recruiter who had been relieved of duty opened fire.”

The U.S. Navy confirmed that the suspect and both victims were members of The National Guard.
