Johnny Cash fans, rejoice. A newly uncovered album from the late country singer will be heard for the first time in spring 2014. Cash’s estate is releasing “Out Among the Stars,”on March 25, 2014.

“We were so excited when we discovered this,” John Carter Cash, Johnny’s son, told the Associated Press. “We were like, ‘My goodness, this is a beautiful record that nobody has ever heard.’”

The album was recorded with Billy Sherrill in the early 1980s but never released by Columbia Records, then disappeared when the label dropped Cash in 1986. However, the tapes were stashed away by Cash and discovered last year by archivists at Legacy Recordings.

The 12 track album, recorded between 1981 and 1984, includes a duet with Waylon Jennings and two with his wife, June Carter Cash. It was a time of low popularity for Cash when country music was moving towards more of a pop sound.

Cash died in 2003 at the age of 71.
