Man who led Nintendo during the glory years dies at 85
Thursday’s death of Hiroshi Yamauchi, head of the video game giant Nintendo, prompted Twitter users to remember hours of their youth spent playing Donkey Kong and Super Mario.

Yamauchi oversaw the Japanese company during major product evolution, including hand-held consoles Game Boy and more recently Wii. He died of pneumonia at a Japanese hospital at age 85.
